The talented R&B singer began his musical apprenteceship at age 12, performing at parties and (illegally) at bars with his friends in the neighorhood group, Finnes. At 21, he chose to sign with the New-York based Sony susidiary 550 records. He enjoyed immediate sucess with the release "Pony" which reached number 4 on the charts.
"Perfoming live is why I got into the business." Ginuwine admits. "Being able to touch people, especially the ladies, with my voice, turns me on too. It's pretty good feeling I can do that.
